The first race was taken out by the Victorian runner from the R Laing stable Rock Musician.  By Hussonet from Gibraltar Diva the entire took his record to 16 starts for 2 wins and 8 placings in defeating Mahmentum with St Ives third.  Tabulated returned to the winners list in the next race where the Exceed and Excel mare raced clear to win by over a length from Uchimura with He's a Steal third. 

In the 3yo Hcp Force of Three made it two from two this campaign in defeating Miss Intensus with Write No More third.  By Oamaru Force and from Three for Free the gelding took his record to 4 starts for 2 wins  and made it an early double for jockey Jason Holder.  Another promising horse was successful in the next where Karacatis passed the post nearly 4 lengths ahead of Like Bolt with Rose of Lincoln third.  Hussonet's second winner of the program took his record to 8 starts for 3 wins and 4 placings his only unplaced effort a 4th at Flemington over winter.

   Extra Virgin (by Keep the Faith) edged out Zai Jian in the fifth race while Knoxville (By Elvstroem from the Rubiton mare Midnight Mist) stormed home down the centre of the track to win race 6.  Periduki made it 20 race wins in defeating Idalou and Forty Two Below while the last race went to Natural Disaster (by Danerich) from El Prado Gold.
